Venice is located along Florida’s white-sanded Gulf Coast, and offers 14 miles of beaches, from Casey Key to Manasota Key, and plenty of recreational opportunities, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating.
Venice Beach is known to be the shark tooth capital of the world. Fossilized shark teeth wash up ashore from Casey Key to as South as Manasota Key with Venice beach in between. Visitors from all around come to hunt for shark teeth on our beach.
A short walk South from Sharky's you will find The Brohard Paw Park featuring a fenced dog play yard that leads to the only beach area in Sarasota County where dogs are allowed.
Venice is also a Florida Main Street City – its downtown is graced by northern Italian architecture and beautifully landscaped boulevards that date to the original city plans of 1925 and is reminiscent of the Italian city of Venice whose name it borrowed.
